Life. :)
Finals are almost done!
So who's all ready for Christmas break? I have one more week till I get about a month off! I'm excited, just one more final left to go - debate. I hope it goes well! On top of all of that I get my braces off in exactly a week. 4 years has been way to long. Talk about a Christmas present! :) What are you guys going to do for Christmas? I enjoy spending time with the family on Christmas and just celebrating the birth of Jesus, although it feels nice to give presents. :)
I
got some TOMS the other day. I have some red ones but I got me some
black, the thing that's really cool is I got the custom painted! So
there are music notes and stuff all over them. I really like it. Maybe I'll put a picture up someday? :)I highly recommend TOMS! They are very comfortable and their organization stands for something really awesome. One for One. :)

We have so much to be thankful for.
I have been staying busy lately. For Thanksgiving we are going to Texas for 10 days! I can't wait to see my family again. And I love Thanksgiving down there, my family all get together at my grandparents house to eat the wonderful meal prepared normally by my grandma, but we help out of course. But yes, I am really excited! On another note, I started a book. No telling if it is actually going to turn into a book, it might just be a short-story, but I like it so far. Maybe one day you will see it on the shelves. ;) Anyways, continuing with my Thanksgiving speech.
We have so much to be thankful for. This is something I know I don't do as often as I should.
Thanksgiving is just one week away. Can you believe it? This year has just flown on by. I am glad to say that I have many things to be thankful for. I have a loving family, food on my table, and friends who are great. Take time to pray for the less fortunate and keep them in your prayers. We never realize how much we should be thankful for, and how often we actually say "thank you" to God. Sorry for the randomness, I tend to be random. But thank you for reading! :)
Last thought.
If you woke up tomorrow with what you thanked God for today, what would you have?
(I'm deep, I know. ;) )

There are just some songs I wish I would have thought about writing. This is one of them.
"You were standing in the wake of devastation. You were waiting on the edge of the unknown, with a cataclysm raining down, insides crying save me now, you were there and possibly alone. Do you feel cold and lost in desperation? You build up hope, but failure's all you've known. Remember all the sadness and frustration and let it go. And in the burst of light that blinded every angel. As if the sky had blown the heavens into stars. You felt the gravity of temper grace, falling into empty space, no one there to catch you in their arms." ~Linkin Park
Looking for a new song to listen to? This is one I recommend. Also, from the soundtrack of Transformers 3. :)

Random Things. :)
Hey Guys,
No background today. :P And I just figured I would just give an update on what's been going on in my life. Well, Saturday I helped build for ScareMare. Don't know what that is? The best way to describe it is simply a Christian haunted house. This might be hard to understand but what they do is take scenes of death and show you how your life can end so fast. I've been working at ScareMare since I was basically in the 6th grade because it is lead by the church I used to go to, Harvest Baptist Church. Even though we switched churches about 2 years ago they still let me participate in ScareMare. It's in Gibsonville and it starts on October 21-23 and 28-30th. If you want some more information let me know and I would be glad to give some to you.
Well other then getting ready for ScareMare my birthday is in twelve days and I'm pretty excited. I will be able to drive! :D And I'm saving my money up to buy a Nook Color. :)
School also has been keeping me busy. But doesn't it do that to everyone else? Maybe someday it will start easing up and I might get a break. But hey, fall break is next week and I will take advantage of that! So, sorry I've been rambling but just thought I would write about some things.
Main points: stay focused in school no matter how hard it might be, make time for God, and also just relax. Don't over stress things. Do like me, sit down and listen to music and just breathe. :)
"Out of breath, I'm left hoping someday, I will breathe again." ~Sara Bareilles

Bucket List.
Well, I have started a bucket list!
I've always said that something is on my bucket list but really, I haven't actually made one. That has changed today. I've officially started this bucket list. I know it may be pointless, but it's always a cool thing to see what I want to be able to accomplish in my life, Lord willing. I have nineteen things so far, ranging from completing at least four years of college, to watching the sun set and rise in one day at different coast. You should do one sometime. I think it's fun. :)

Happiness: Found in Yourself or God?
Hey guys! Well, I was having a thought the other day and I will just blog about it.
"Happiness means more to me then anything else. If I have to stray to achieve that, that's fine with me." This saddens me to say that this a quote from a conversation that my friend had. This is the supposed great outlook on life that most people have today, but why? Happiness definition is this "good fortune; pleasure; contentment; joy." What is your happiness? Maybe your computer, friends, or love? There are so many worldly pleasures that people put their happiness into. But what people don't understand today is TRUE happiness is not found in earthly things, you can only receive true happiness through Jesus Christ. I would post the whole chapter of Ecclesiastes 2 but it is far to long so I recommend reading the whole chapter when you can.
"24 A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God, 25 for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment? 26 To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind."
This is a GREAT chapter about true happiness. There are so many things that people are missing in society. This is the real reason for happiness. If you think you are happy with what you are doing and do not think that God could make you any happier, I just want you to know that your happiness won't last forever. Now, God loves everyone, for we ALL are sinners so why would he not want you to be happy? It's not that he doesn't want you to be happy, but because that you take refuge in other things, making your own happiness your idol, and not looking to Him instead.
This song states it best "In these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die. Where you invest your love, you invest your life." ~Mumford and Sons
